I moved to Mallorca in 1991 and started my own real estate agency in 1996. So, I have a deep understanding of the Mallorca real estate market.
In that time, I learned why certain properties are easier to sell or rent than others but I wanted to go deeper. After I studied feng shui at the Deutsches feng shui Institute in Germany and became a fully certified practitioner, I gained a whole new level of understanding.
Since I began Feng shui Real Estate Mallorca, I’ve had some remarkable successes.
What is feng shui?
Both an art and a science, feng shui balances the energies in any space and brings health and good fortune to the people who live and work in them.
Feng shui is based on the belief that the land is filled with energy, or Chi, and that our surroundings affect the way we live positively and negatively. Feng means wind and shui means water. For the Chinese, wind and water represent good health, which is why good feng shui means good fortune.
The Chinese developed feng shui over 3,000 years ago. Today it’s practised all over the world and not just Southeast Asia, even in ultra-modern offices in cities like London or New York.
Successful celebrities who have embraced feng shui include Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Steven Spielberg, Deepak Chopra and Anita Roddick, founder of the Body Shop.
Feng shui and real estate
Feng shui is based on the principle that the places where you live and work have a powerful influence on your destiny. It’s all about tapping into the natural energy of a space to help create an environment that helps you achieve your goals in life.
The way I optimise your home depends on whether you want to live in it or sell it.
If I’m using feng shui to help you and your family, I will optimise your home for you and make sure positive energy flows in a way that benefits your specific needs.
For example, just changing the direction in which you sit, eat and sleep can change the energies of your home dramatically.
When you’re selling a property, it’s a little different. If you’ve ever sold or rented your home, you’ll already know that there are things you need to do to make it as appealing as possible. But did you know that a potential buyer makes the decision to buy or not in seconds, based their subconscious and what they feel?
There are so many details to consider, including what your front door looks like, the kind of doormat you choose and what someone sees through the open door. What they experience the moment they step into your home makes all the difference.
In my experience, clients often view a property and have the feeling that something is out of balance. But they can’t pinpoint why. I apply the scientific and artistic principles of feng shui to make your home feel balanced and more attractive to visitors and buyers and they couldn’t tell you why.
Lisa DeLove, interior space design director for the Roseland Property Company says, ‘Even if you are not familiar with the history of feng shui, or don’t care about the energy and spirituality of feng shui, we’ve learned that it’s a very thoughtful approach to great design. There’s a subconscious rhyme and reason to why space works and whether you feel good in it or not.’
How I work
I’m happy to work with you in one of these ways:
- Commission me to use feng shui to help you sell or rent your home and I’ll make a proposal based on the amount of work involved then perform a comprehensive feng shui optimisation.
- Invite me to advise you on whether the house or apartment you wish to buy will bring you good fortune according to feng shui principles and I’ll make a proposal based on the amount of work involved.
- Ask me to help you renovate your home or construct a new home following feng shui principles and my proposal will reflect the amount of work involved.
‘I definitely recommend Susanne as a feng shui consultant and real estate agent.’
